MORE than 16,000 overseas buyers from 50 countries and regions are expected to attend the 9th China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF), to be held May 17-20 at the Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center.

Event organizer Shenzhen ICIF Co. said 2,118 exhibitors from home and abroad have confirmed their attendance at this year's ICIF, 190 more than last year. Sixty-four percent of the exhibitors in the fair's main venue, the convention and exhibition center, represent leading companies in China. Ninety-five percent of the exhibitors are in cultural industries.

For the first time, Shenzhen ICIF Co. will set up an exhibition hall for "cultural tourism,"aiming at introducing cultural tourism, tourism promotion activities and cultural festivals in different parts of the country.

There will be nine exhibition halls in the main venue, including halls for creative design, art, press and publication, intangible cultural heritage, animation and more.
