In the afternoon of December 13, Invest Shenzhen and Pingshan New District Administration Committee jointly held the Shenzhen Biological Industry - Pingshan Investment Promotion Conference in Beijing. Focused on biological industry, companies among the top 500 in China and the world were invited to attend the event, which included Siemens, Phillips, Toshiba, Squibb, Bayer, Sanofi, Sinophar and Fosun.

Wang Youming, director general of Invest Shenzhen addressed that Shenzhen boasts its fastest economic growth in the world over the last 30 years. Currently, cultivating the biological industry and building it into a new and pillar high-tech industry is a major initiative for Shenzhen to seize the strategic opportunity of the new technological revolution, drive steady and fast growth of its economy and build an innovative city. We sincerely welcome high-tech companies domestic and abroad to invest in Shenzhen.

Party Secretary of Pingshan New District Yang Xusong described Pingshan as an ideal land for investment, and an attractive and potential modern and international district where new industries can prosper and people can live a happy and harmonious life. The meeting has aimed to promote Pingshan New District among biopharmaceutical entrepreneurs and create success for both Pingshan and investors.

Department chief of Invest Shenzhen Qiu Wen and director general of Pingshan Economic Service Bureau Man Xincheng explained respectively the investment environment of Shenzhen, the development of the city's biological industry, and the national base of biological industry in Pingshan. The president of Sanofi also shared their success stories about investment in Shenzhen with other companies during the meeting.
