To promote communication and cooperation between EU countries and Shenzhen's creative culture companies and attract more companies and professionals to boost the city's creative culture industry, Invest Shenzhen held the "Shenzhen-EU Cultural and Creative Industry Investment Promotion & Business Match-making Event" in the Rose Hall 3, Shenzhen Convention and Exhibition Center on May 19 during the 9th ICIF. The following people attended the event: Shi Junling, vice inspector of the Cultural Industry Department of the Ministry of Culture; Qiao Hong, Secretary of the Party Committee for the Organs of Culture, Sports and Tourism Bureau of Shenzhen; Philip, vice chair of China-EU Culture and Creative Industries Alliance; Lu Qingfeng, Secretary General of Shenzhen Cultural and Creative Industries Association; and around 70 representatives from EU countries such as Italy, France and Spain and Shenzhen's creative culture enterprises. 
 

At the meeting, our representative briefed the participants on Shenzhen's strong investment environment, showed our promotional video, promoted Shenzhen's creative culture industry, and explained support policies for the industry. Philip, vice chair of China-EU Culture and Creative Industries Alliance, shared his experience and insights about exploring business opportunities of Shenzhen's creative industry. One of the event's biggest highlights was one-to-one meetings between Shenzhen's creative culture companies such as Acto, Crystalcg and Auratic and their EU counterparts that lead in the areas of creative culture, industrial, and graphic designs such as Dakit Design and Focus Design. Statistics so far showed that they have reached more than 10 MOUs on investment and cooperation during the event.

As our first industry promotion to coincide with a large exhibition, this conference ranked among the 39 key events of this year's ICIF and received coverage from leading media agencies such as Shenzhen Special Zone Daily and China Culture Daily. We plan to establish regular contact with leading agencies such as China-EU Culture and Creative Industries Alliance to develop innovative cooperation models and propel more companies to invest in Shenzhen based on their global platforms.
