On May 21, Director General Wang Youming met with the delegation of the Chinese Association for Science and Business (CASB) and held talks with a number of leading experts including CASB's president Dr. Li Daxi, academician of the National Academy of Engineering Ma Tso-Ping, and Vice Provost of the Cornell University Dr. Alan Paau.

Both sides exchanged views on promoting the following projects: phase change memory development, technology transfer from Cornell University, construction of the Qianhai Cooperation Zone, introduction of global technologies and innovation-minded professionals, and full utilization of the Shenzhen Overseas Chinese High-Tech Venture Park. Senior executives from the Shenzhen Development and Reform Commission, Shenzhen Sci & Tech Innovation Commission and Economy, Trade and Information Commission of Shenzhen Municipality attended the meeting.

Established in New York in 1997, CASB currently comprises over 1,000 overseas Chinese with high degrees, mostly leading professionals or senior managers in fields such as science, information technology, biological research, and financial services.
