To fulfill the contracts signed at the Shenzhen Business Environment Promotion Conference in Beijing, invest Shenzhen joined SDG on a visit to China Everbright Environmental Protection Holdings Limited ("Everbright") on May 27 to discuss with the company about boosting its investment in Shenzhen and its participation in Shenzhen's drive to build a low-carbon international city.

During the meeting, Director General Wang Youming expected Everbright to play an active role in Shenzhen's efforts to promote green and energy-efficient projects and construct new-energy industries by leveraging its advantages in terms of capital, technology and management and expressed wishes to strengthen cooperation with leading companies in turning Shenzhen into a low-carbon international city. Everbright's president Chen Xiaoping stated that his company would join in Shenzhen's efforts to develop low-carbon and green industries and formulate an investment plan for the low-carbon international city project as soon as possible under its framework agreement with Shenzhen municipal government.

As a wholly-funded subsidiary and the Chinese mainland headquarters of China Everbright International Limited, Everbright is focused on overseeing the group's environmental protection and new energy business in Chinese mainland. Its project portfolio covers the central treatment of waste, such as urban sewage and sludge, solid waste, building and kitchen waste, and investment and construction projects involving comprehensive garbage disposal, PV electricity generation, integrated solar buildings, onshore and offshore wind power and waste water disposal, seashore ecosystem, and seawater desalting facilities.
