The 2013 Guangdong-Hong Kong Economy, Technology and Trade Cooperation Communication Meeting was jointly held by the People's Government of Guangdong Province and the HKSAR government on July 10 in Hong Kong. Shenzhen sent a delegation led by the municipal government deputy secretary general Gao Guohui to this meeting. During this meeting, Invest Shenzhen and Hongda Express (China) Development signed a memorandum for a project worth USD200 million.

With several subsidiaries in China, Hongda Express (China) Development invests in a wide range of fields including mining, shipping, energy-saving and, environmental- protection facilities and biomass energy production. The company plans to set up a new financial leasing company in Shenzhen to implement the project.
