Promoted by Invest Shenzhen, the global enterprise management software leader German SAP AG (SAP) inaugurated its Shenzhen branch office and South China headquarters on August 8. The inauguration ceremony was attended by municipal government deputy secretary general Gao Guohui, Invest Shenzhen director general Wang Youming, SAP Asia-Pacific and Japan COO Mark Gibbs, and SAP Active Global Support senior vice president Andreas Reuther.

During the ceremony, Gao Guohui stated that Shenzhen, as China's first special economic zone and city opened to the outside world, is now home to the most developed and intensive hi-tech enterprises in China. The big data era is coming, leading to reforms and dramatic changes to this city and to industries in terms of technology, products and hi-tech industries that feature service integration. SAP South China GM Zhou Shili indicated that SAP Shenzhen branch will serve as SAP's head office in South China; operate SAP's businesses in this region, including Hong Kong and Macau; and step up efforts in recruitment, market expansion, ecosystem construction and product development according to China's SAP Development Plan. It is anticipated that more resources will be invested to support the South China market.

More than 80% of SAP's customers are listed in the top 500 globally. The inauguration of the head office in Shenzhen will increase Shenzhen's attractiveness to world leaders, and promote the development of various sectors, including software and IT, which will help Shenzhen introduce further high-end service projects.
