China (Shenzhen) – Brazil (Sao Paulo) Investment Cooperation Exchange Conference Successfully Held

  Jointly hosted by Invest Shenzhen, the special advisor office for international affairs of Sao Paulo, Investment Promotion Agency of Sao Paulo and co-organized by the China-Brazil Investment Development & Trade Center and CWCC, the China (Shenzhen) – Brazil (Sao Paulo) Investment Cooperation Exchange Conference with the theme of “Invest in Shenzhen for a Win-Win Future” was successfully held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on November 24.

  Mr. Jia Chengsheng, Deputy Director General of Invest Shenzhen, Mr. Song Yang, Consul-General of China's General Consulate in Sao Paulo, Ms. Anna Paula Fava, a special advisor for international affairs to Sao Paulo and Ms. Regina Silvério, director of the trade investment department of Investment Promotion Agency of Sao Paulo, all delivered speeches. Mr. Lei Chunbo, the top executive at BYD in Brazil and Mr. Ado Evangelista, general manager for supply chain at Intelbras, delivered speeches on behalf of companies that invest in Shenzhen and Sao Paulo. More than 150 representatives from Sao Paulo attended and they held talks with their counterparts from Shenzhen about cooperation.

  Jia pointed out that China and Brazil enjoy a broader space for cooperation as Brazil is China’s biggest trade partner and investment destination in Latin America. Both cities have a lot in common, such as a large immigrant population as well being financial and traffic hubs. Both cities will boost industrial tie-ups and cooperation in energy resources, infrastructure development, agriculture, manufacturing, scientific innovation and IT technologies through cooperation in trade, investment and finance. Invest Shenzhen will assist companies intending to invest in Shenzhen and Sao Paulo.
