On November 29, 2016, the China (Shenzhen)-Chile (Santiago) Investment conference themed, Invest Shenzhen for a Bright Future, sponsored by Invest Shenzhen and joined by SOFOFA was successfully held in St. Paulo, Brazil.
Both Invest Shenzhen's Deputy Director General Jia Changsheng and Shen Yonghan, general manager of the Chile Macro Group delivered speeches. During the session, Innovation Manager Alvaro Rojas of SOFOFA introduced innovation realities in Chile. Also, more than 70 guests, including Allen Fulton (International Affairs Consultant of INAPI), Sophia Santé (Director of Chile National Incubator) and Juan Aguirre (Director of Energy, Technology and Innovation Department of Foreign Affairs Ministry) attended.
Deputy Director General Jia Changsheng pointed out in his speech that the recent talk between President Xi and President Bachelet would further deepen their cooperation in top-level design, construction of free trade zones, investment and technology. Shenzhen promises to remain committed to furthering the achievements between the two countries and will fully play its regional advantages and industrial strengths. In addition, there will be more cooperation in six fields including energy resources, infrastructure construction, agriculture, manufacturing, technical innovation and information technology as a way to promote development.
Shen Yonghan, general manager of the Macro Group said that they seek to support Chile's government and enterprises in cooperating with China and thus far there has been great progress. Through this session, the public can learn more about the impressive development of Shenzhen and in the following days, they will encourage their local governments and companies to learn from Shenzhen's success and step up efforts to introduce "Chile Week" to Shenzhen.

During this conference, leapfrog development and the sustainable development capacity of Shenzhen impressed the attendees most. Chile's Information Technology Company, Intesis Company, Action Company, Manglar Labs Company and Global Shopex Company all expressed their willingness to invest in Shenzhen and cooperate with Shenzhen companies.After the conference, the delegations paid a visit to the earthquake and computer labs at the University of Chile. There were also further discussions on innovation, entrepreneurship and technology transfer cooperation with the University of Chile Engineering School.
