On April 28, the unveiling ceremony for the Sino-German Micro- & Nano Manufacturing Innovation Center (jointly introduced by Invest Shenzhen and the Economy, Trade & Information Commission of Shenzhen Municipality) was held at the Shenzhen Civic Center. There was also a signing ceremony for the Sino-German Micro- & Nano Manufacturing Innovation Center and the Shenzhen Intelligent Offshore Manufacturing Innovation Center.

　　The Sino-German Micro- & Nano Manufacturing Innovation Center is listed in the top 10 manufacturing innovation centers of Shenzhen. As a bridge for organizational cooperation in micro-nano technology between China and Germany, the Center will bring collaborative and incubation opportunities to numerous micro-nano high-tech enterprises based on the industry-university-research cooperation mode of the Fraunhofer Society. It aims to develop into a market-driven first-class platform-type R&D center for applied technology that can accelerate upgrading and development of scientific and technological industries. In addition, its cooperative agreement with the Shenzhen Intelligent Offshore Manufacturing Innovation Center means that micro-nano technology will be widely applied in ocean engineering equipment manufacturing.

　　In April 2016, Invest Shenzhen joined the Economy, Trade & Information Commission of Shenzhen Municipality to investigate the project in Germany and discuss the best way to set up in Shenzhen with the German partner. Recently, the private non-enterprise organization of the Center was officially approved and established, and after a year of effort from multiple parties, the project has made a phased achievement.
