From August 8 to 12 Zhang Feimeng, Deputy Director of Invest Shenzhen, led a delegation to Beijing, Qingdao and Jinan to actively unearth and bring in major projects of the world's Fortune 500 enterprises from these regions. The focus of the delegation’s visits was to leading enterprises such as Xinxing Cathay International Group, China National Chemical Group and its Swiss subsidiary Syngenta, Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group, and the Haier Group.

　　Through this trip, Invest Shenzhen was able to present a comprehensive picture of the city’s business environment and entice Xinxing Cathay International Group and Shandong Weiqiao Pioneering Group to establish their international headquarters in Shenzhen. It was also able to explore in detail the establishment of a global seed R&D center in the city by China National Chemical Group and its subsidiary Syngenta and follow up with Haier about setting up its smart home appliance operations in Shenzhen. In-depth contacts were established with the target enterprises and Invest Shenzhen was able to precisely leverage its policies promoting the city as a base for global headquarters and high-level talent to secure these high-quality projects.
