On September 1, Deputy Director Jia Changsheng met with Matsumoto Tatsuya, Shenzhen branch president of Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, and his delegation, to discuss investment cooperation between Japan and Shenzhen.

　　During the meeting, Deputy Director Jia Changsheng gave a briefing on the economic and social development of Shenzhen and its investment environment, highlighting the city’s three main characteristics: youth, innovation and vitality. President Matsumoto Tatsuya gave a high degree of praise to Shenzhen's achievements and good development prospects, saying he would encourage the bank and related Japanese companies to expand their investment cooperation in Shenzhen. At the same time, the two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on strengthening further cooperation regarding recent joint promotion activities and other matters.

　　The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ resulted from a merger between Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi, Ltd. and UFJ Bank Ltd. on January 1, 2006 and is the largest financial group in Japan. In 1986, it established a branch in Shenzhen.
