On October 11-13, a delegation led by Wang Youming, Director of Invest Shenzhen, visited Shenyang and Changchun to explore and introduce major research institutions and major projects in the advanced manufacturing industry. Some major research institutions and companies inspected included AVIC Shenyang Aircraft Design and Research Institute, Shenyang Institute of Automation (SIA), the Chinese Academy of Sciences and CRRC Changchun Railway Vehicles. Through the visits, Invest Shenzhen promoted Shenzhen’s business environment, negotiated with AVIC Shenyang Aircraft Design and Research Institute about building a 3D printing R&D/manufacturing center in Shenzhen, talked with SIA about setting up a research institution in Shenzhen, and worked to introduce CRRC’s rail transit vehicle R&D and comprehensive service base to Shenzhen. Through strengthening contact with the target firms, Invest Shenzhen promoted Shenzhen’s policies for businesses in regards to headquarters and technology as well as and industrial policies in an effort to introduce quality projects to Shenzhen.
