On October 26, Invest Shenzhen, at the invitation of the Global Cleantech Cluster Association (GCCA) and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), attended the 12th Eco Expo Asia, one of the major events in the global energy conservation and environment protection sector, in Hong Kong, and promoted investment there. Invest Shenzhen visited a number of Fortune 500 companies such as Siemens and Schneider Electric, as well as government agencies from Germany, Switzerland, Australia, Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong. Invest Shenzhen also attended meetings on environmental industry policies held by countries and regions such as Japan and the Guangdong – Hong Kong – Macau Greater Bay Area to promote Shenzhen’s business environment and policies, establish connections with investors, and invite businesses and institutions with an intention to invest and cooperate to visit Shenzhen.

　　The expo featured some 340 exhibitors from 19 countries and regions. Under the theme “Innovative Solutions for Greener Cities”, the expo displayed a broad spectrum of products and technologies in major areas of the environmental industry such as green buildings and energy efficiency, green transportation, waste management and recycling, and water treatment and quality management.
