In order to effectively and accurately help couplet-assistance units get rid of poverty and help people to have better lives as soon as possible, Director Wang Youming and Deputy Director Zhang Feimeng went to Qiaotou Village, Shuangjiang Town, Dongyuan County, Heyuan City to inspect and instruct in couplet-assistance work.
Our agency held exchange meetings with the Heyuan Command Division, the Dongyuan County Government, Shenzhen work team assigned to the project, the Shuangjiang Town Government and the Qiaotou Village Committee. Suggestions from the personnel sent to the village and reports on the work progress for poverty alleviation as well as the subsequent implementation plan were put forward.
During the inspection and guidance visit at Qiaotou Village, Director Wang Youming, Deputy Director Zhang Feimeng and Luo Shiwen, the county head of Dongyuan County, Yang Jin'guo, head of the work team sent to the county and also member of Dongyuan County Standing Committee, and relevant persons in charge of Shuangjiang Town and Qiaotou Village, participated in the unveiling ceremony for the Photovoltaic Power Station for Poverty Alleviation and Passion Fruit Industrial Base for Poverty Alleviation which were established jointly by Qiaotou Village and our agency. The projects of Photovoltaic Power Station for Poverty Alleviation and Passion Fruit Industrial Base for Poverty Alleviation were proposed by our agency to the Qiaotou Village Committee and were discussed and approved by the villagers congress. Great efforts have been made to push forward these industrial poverty alleviation projects.
The total installed capacity of the Photovoltaic Power Station for Poverty Alleviation is 45KWp, and the service life of the system is up to 25 years. The full amount of generated electricity is sold to the state grid, and granted a national subsidy. Revenue from power generation is calculated at 0.85 RMB per kWh. The earnings are directly transferred to the account for Qiaotou Village by the local power supply bureau.
The Passion Fruit Industrial Base for Poverty Alleviation covers an area of 50 mu (8.2 acres), and commissions local enterprises to specialize in growing passion fruit. The fruit is bought in unified purchases as per market price, and the earnings go to Qiaotou Village after deducting overhead costs. The priority is focused on putting impoverished Qiaotou villagers to work.
In addition, Director Wang Youming and Deputy Director Zhang Feimeng visited and reassured the poverty-stricken residents in Qiaotou Village that their future does indeed look brighter.
