On November 6, Commissioner Wang Youming met Academician Mark Emberton, Dean of Medical School of University College London, and his delegation. They talked about further promoting the construction of a Sino-British international medical research institute, building a world-class medical research center and implementing deep collaboration in aspects of medicine.

　　During the conversation, Commissioner Wang briefly introduced the development of the Shenzhen economy, society and medicine. He also put forward opinions and suggestions mainly on the construction standards for infrastructure, operation management mode, and financing sources for the Cancer Treatment Center of the Medical School of University College London in Shenzhen.

　　Mark Emberton highly praised the achievement and development prospects of Shenzhen and expressed the desire to actively boost the construction of the Cancer Treatment Center of the Medical School of University College London in Shenzhen.

Its Medical School ranked first in Europe in 2016, with 32 Nobel-prize winners and 150 academicians. In October 2015, President Xi made a keynote speech at University College London during his visit to the UK, and encouraged UCL to strengthen cooperation with China in scientific research, medicine and education, etc.
