On January 2, Invest Shenzhen held a 2018 work conference to pool wisdom on the city’s investment promotion and map out a direction for work in the year to come to ensure priorities assigned by the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee and the Shenzhen government will be implemented. It will work closely with other government organs on investment attraction to ensure they bring in large scale and quality investment projects.

　　At the meeting, heads of departments and investment attraction specialists focused on the guiding principles of the 19th CPC National Congress and, based on actual conditions, analyzed the current status of investment promotion, identified problems and discussed solutions, and proposed constructive suggestions and opinions on Party building, working style, fine tuning management, construction of IT systems, and attracting investment amid new conditions.

　　Wang Youming, Director of Invest Shenzhen, said that the agency should carefully study the guiding principles of the 19th CPC National Congress and Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era and all employees should fully understand and apply them to investment promotion. Invest Shenzhen should keep a tight control over quality of projects, target trends in pioneering technologies such as artificial intelligence, next-generation information technology, graphene and big data, and actively attract large scale and quality investment projects. It should also strengthen training of officials, improve Party conduct, promote integrity, and enhance team awareness to ensure all tasks assigned by the CPC Shenzhen Municipal Committee and the Shenzhen government will be completed in 2018 by employing a pragmatic working style and innovative thinking to achieve robust achievements.
