On the morning of October 18, Deputy Director General Mr. Zhang Feimeng attended the opening ceremony of the Internet of Things (IoT) Excellence Center held by the  Rheinland Group in the GS Park in Longhua District. Approximately 150 people such as Mr. Martin Fleischer (Consul General at Consulate General of Germany in Guangzhou), Dr. Michael Fübi (Chairman of the Executive Board of Management of  Rheinland AG), Mr. Holger Kunz (Executive Vice President of Products Business Division at  Rheinland AG), Mr. Yushun Wong (CEO and President of  Rheinland Greater China), leaders from the Longhua District Economic Promotion Bureau and the Longhua District Science and Technology Innovation Bureau as well as senior officials from industry leaders such as Huawei Technologies participated in the event.

　　Mr. Zhang Feimeng then accompanied Vice Mayor Wang Lixin to meet the delegation led by Dr. Michael Fübi. The leaders from the Economic, Trade and Information Commission of Shenzhen Municipality, the Science and Technology Innovation Commission of Shenzhen Municipality, the Market and Quality Supervision Commission of Shenzhen Municipality, the Municipal Foreign Affairs Office and the Longhua District participated in the meeting to discuss  Rheinland's investment expansion and cooperation in Shenzhen.

　　This is a representative project with investment attracted from Invest Shenzhen, Longhua District and GS Park. It is TüV Rheinland’s first IoT Excellence Center in the Greater China region. The new 10-meter EMC (electromagnetic compatibility) chamber, the second largest in the world, will accelerate breakthroughs in IoT applications for many industries in Shenzhen and provide strong support for the city's high-quality development.

　　The participation of municipal leaders and various departments reflects the importance that Shenzhen attaches to investment projects from foreign-invested enterprises. This is especially true for European multinational enterprises in Shenzhen as well as for 5G/ wireless/ IoT testing and certification. In addition, this event is good preparation for the China (Guangdong)-European Investment Cooperation Summit and the Promotion Conference for German Enterprises Entering Guangdong Province.
