At the SMIDF 2019, the 2019 CCCI was officially released, among which Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Hangzhou, Suzhou, Chongqing, Chengdu and Nanjing have taken the top 10 spots.

　　Among China's 50 large and medium-sized cities concerned, most cities have their CCCIs improved more or less. Beijing, Shenzhen and Shanghai rank among the top three in terms of increase amplitude.

　　The 2019 CCCI Research Program was completed with joint effort of the College of Management, the Institute for Cultural Industries and the National Center for Culture Innovation Research of Shenzhen University.

　　According to Prof. Zhou Zhimin, Principal Researcher of the CCCI and Associate Dean of College of Management Shenzhen University, as the City of Innovation, Shenzhen tops the nation both in innovation input and output, and boasts infinite potentials. For example, Shenzhen is only second to Beijing in terms of the share of research and development investment in GDP. It also tops the nation in the numbers of patent applications and grants per 100,000 people.
