Wuxi’s Sanyang Square Station, Nanjing’s Xinjiekou Station and Shanghai’s Renmin Square Station were the top three metro stations among 2,113 stations in 26 cities with municipal railways, according to the TOD development index for China’s urban railways released at the end of 2017. In terms of subways, Shenzhen led in overall rankings, while Shanghai outshined other cities in terms of sheer size, and Harbin came in top for quality.
